Lismore Tidy Towns

Visitors to Lismore continually remark on the pristine condition of our streets and, particularly, on the abundant floral displays that brighten up the entire town. Lismore’s pleasing appearance owes much to the tireless efforts of the volunteers who make up the Tidy Towns committee.

Lismore has competed in the National Tidy Towns Competition for many years. We have been named the Tidiest Town in Co Waterford, the Tidiest Town in the South East Region and Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town on numerous occasions. In 2005 Lismore was again selected as Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town and was chosen to represent Ireland at the European Entente Florale Competition where we won a Gold Award.

Never content to rest on their laurels and bask in past successes, Lismore’s Tidy Towns Committee has forged ahead with many new projects including

The Owenashad Riverside Walk

Millennium Park Banners

Poems in Shop Windows
