]]> Born in Waterford city and now living near Lismore in Co. Waterford, Joan Casey has been hand-making felt and mosaics for at least 10 years. Using 100% Jacob’s wool and a combination of traditional and contemporary felting techniques, Joan’s range of felt goods includes bum mats, meditation mats, hats, bags, floor-mats, wall-hangings, blinds and tea-cosies. Her range of mosaics includes teapot stands, framed mirrors, murals and other mosaics made from ceramic and/or vitreous glass tiles. Joan is also an experienced craft tutor and is a member of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, Feltmakers Ireland and the Centre for Environmental Living and Training (CELT).
